1. When does registration for the Lilac Creative Design Award begin?

The official registration system for the Lilac Creative Design Awards will open on July 6, 2024.

2. When is the deadline for the Lilac Creative Design Award?

The deadline for submission of this year's Lilac Creative Design Award is from July 6, 2024 to 24 o 'clock, October 20, 2024 (Beijing time). Other times will not be accepted, subject to change will be notified.

3. Is there a fee for entry?

There is no registration fee for this year's Lilac Creative Design Award, but the costs of logistics, insurance, customs clearance and travel incurred by the competition will be borne by the participants themselves.

2. What works are eligible for the Lilac Creative Design Award? (How to select the product group and concept group in the declaration?)

(1) Product group: Entries must be listed products, products on the market for no more than three years, in line with the national industrial policy and relevant technology, standards and other provisions.

(2) Concept Group: The entries must be original design works that have not been sold or produced in the market, and have great innovations in function, structure, form, technology, materials and low-carbon.

(3) The submitted works should comply with the requirements of national laws, regulations and social public order and good customs. The works must be the original works of the contestants or the party to which they belong, and have independent and complete copyright in the works, without any infringement such as plagiarism and counterfeiting.

3. Can I enter the concept stage?

Yes, the works of the concept group must be original design works or schemes that have not been sold or produced in the market, and have great innovations in function, structure, form, technology, materials and low carbon.

4. Can the same work be applied for the product group and concept group of the Lilac Award again?

No, the product group and concept group cannot be applied for the same work at the same time. Once found, the entry will be immediately disqualified.

5. How to choose the competition category?

You can refer to two factors: the industry and the core innovation. If you cannot identify a single category for your work from the perspective of industry and genre, you can choose the category based on the core innovation of your work. At the same time, the Organizing committee has the right to make corresponding adjustments according to the actual situation.

6. What categories are eligible for the Lilac Creative Design Awards?

The Lilac Creative Design Awards are open to submissions in four design categories: Industrial Creative Design, Digital Creative Design, Visual Creative Design and Cultural Creative Design. Please visit the official website (www.lilacdaward.com.cn) for a detailed description of the categories.

7. Can only the designer of the work be declared?

Entries must be authorized by the right holder of the work, the designer of the work, or the design team of the work, or the design company of the work, or the client who has entrusted the design work to declare the competition, and the same work can only be declared by one subject.

8. What if the same work is submitted by multiple parties?

If the same work is declared by more than one subject, all the relevant subjects shall provide a declaration confirming the subject after consultation, before they can continue to participate in the competition, otherwise they will be disqualified from declaring the work.

9. Is there a limit on the number of entries? (Can I submit multiple entries?)

The same unit or individual can submit multiple different works.

10. Can I enter if I have won other awards?

All entries that meet the requirements for the Lilac Creative Design Award are eligible for entry.

2. Does the intellectual property of the entry belong to the participant?

The intellectual property rights of all entries belong to the participants.

3. My entries are a series, including many products. Should I declare them together or separately?

If you want to emphasize the overall design of the product, you can declare it as a piece; If you want to emphasize the unique appearance design and functional characteristics of each product in the portfolio, you can declare separately, but the introduction and design highlights of each product in Chinese and English must provide an accurate and complete description of the work.

4. What is a directed invitation?

The Lilac Creative Design Award takes the form of directed invitation to invite well-known design enterprises and manufacturing enterprises at home and abroad to participate.

5. What is an agency referral?

Lilac Creative Design Award maintains cooperation with relevant domestic organizations, enterprises, units, etc., finds partners in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and other industrial design developed regions and cities, and carries out various forms of collection activities to recommend more participants to enter the competition.

6. Will the shortlisting rate of public entries be affected by the agency's recommendation?

No, the initial assessment is based on a merit selection principle and therefore will not be affected by institutional recommendations.

7. Do I need an English translation of the application information? (Can I fill in the description in Chinese only?)

The Lilac Creative Design Award International jury is composed of domestic and foreign design experts, and the foreign judges will be judged in English, so the English introduction of the work is very important, please be sure to fill in the correct and complete.

8. Do I have to upload video of my work?

In order to facilitate the international jury to evaluate the entries in a comprehensive, detailed and scientific manner, it is recommended that participants upload videos of their works to deepen the understanding of the jury experts.

9. How to solve the failure of uploading pictures or videos?

Please check whether the file format and size meet the requirements; If you meet the requirements, please also try to change the browser upload (Chrome browser is recommended). If you still cannot upload, please send the screenshot of the error page and the information that cannot be uploaded to ldaword@sina.com, and comment the work ID+ work name + problem statement in the subject of the email.

10. Are the main participants in the team information the list of winners on the award certificate?

If the work wins, the information on the award certificate will be generated according to the key participants. The main participants can fill in a maximum of 10 people, and the order is the order of the winners on the certificate.

If the list of winners cannot be determined during the application stage, it is recommended that you fill in some information first. After the information is determined, the final modification and improvement can be made during the entry of the award information (the specific time after the award is notified).

11. What can I do if the information is incorrect after submission?

Once submitted, the declaration information cannot be modified. Please fill it in carefully and submit it carefully. In case of false information, the Organizing Committee has the right to revoke the entry qualification and honor of the work, and recover the prize money.

12. What is the application process for the Lilac Creative Design Award? How can I confirm that my declaration has been completed?

(3) Fill in the work information and save it;

(4)The deadline for submission is 24:00 on October 20, 2024 (Beijing Time). If the status of the works in the list is "submitted", it means that the application has been completed.
